Find weekly and seasonal livestock auctions, stocker and feeder calf sale barns, sheep, goat, and hog sales across all 50 states. Filter by sale day and species.
Most sale barns allow the public to attend and bid. You'll typically need to register as a buyer before the sale, provide identification, and may need to establish credit or pay a deposit. Cattle are sold per hundredweight ($/cwt) or per head. Arrive early to inspect the cattle before the sale begins.
Stocker calves are lighter-weight cattle (typically 400–600 lbs) that will be grown on grass before going to a feedlot. Feeder cattle are heavier (650–900 lbs) and ready to go directly to a feedlot for finishing. Both types are sold at livestock auctions, and the category affects pricing significantly.
